My name is Dr. Stephan J. Smith and I am a non-denominational ordained minister and wedding officiant. I’ve been performing wedding ceremonies in Michigan since 2005 and I truly love what I do.
It is my belief that a wedding ceremony should reflect the personalities of the bride and groom and because I’m non-denominational, I can make your wedding as unique and special as the two of you are. My goal is to create an environment of calm where the two of you can focus on being in the moment, putting the stress of preparation behind you and enjoying one of the most important times of your lives.
I perform most of my ceremonies in Livingston, Genesee, Oakland and Washtenaw Counties in Michigan, but I will travel anywhere in Michigan if required, albeit for a bit of an additional fee.

I’m sorry I didn’t get right back to you, but I’ve been having some trouble with my comment forwarding on the website. I am already booked for a 3pm wedding in Clio, MI on July 8th, but if your ceremony was going to be 5:30pm or later, it’s possible I could do it. That is, of course, if you haven’t already booked another officiant since I didn’t get back to you in time! There’s also the rehearsal to consider, if you’re going to have one. My booked wedding for that weekend has a rehearsal in Birch Run on the 7th at 5pm. Let me know what your status is, and again, I apologize for the late reply!
